Had a great training session today, mostly focused on my bench, cause tomorrow I am deadlifting, definitely getting my bench strength back slowly, and nice to see I'm not that far off of my old max

Good stuff. Glad to see your persistence is paying off.

I love to lift heavy and it has always been a passion, these videos are always motivational.

I'm curious what AAS strategies did you use to help achieve your strength goals?

Thanks brudda, lifting heavy just flat works for me, my body responds well to the training, and since I have no plans on being a bb anytime soon it's easy to just focus on what I need to do to get stronger

Joker you would be very surprised at that, here is the honest truth, during the 18 months off from the gym, I wasn't taking anything....which was okay cause I really didn't want to waste the stuff I still had left...my cycle now is Tuesday 250test e+ 200eq, Saturday 250test e +200 eq, that's it, my body Works with that little bit.... of course I don't exactly follow the time on and time off thing, I'll run it for 12 - 15 week depending on how my body reacts then take 4-6 weeks off then right back on again. During my spin ups to meets I add in 100 trace eod for the last 6 weeks going to a meet, every once in a while I'll throw in a little dbol in there if I can get it.

I tried the heavy cycles twice, and it didn't net any bigger gains than I got doing lower doses, so to me it was just a waste of money.

Still working on the leaning down during this year (I don't plan on competing until next spring or summer) because I was still eating pretty big during the off time, I'm 283lbs right now and I like to normally sit about 265-270 to stay under my 275 lbs class limit. But  doing all meals as whole meals except a shake post training to get the nutrients in quick for recovery.

That's half of it knowing how your body reacts and more isn't always better.

Worked all night then got to the gym late the next morning was real tired and didn't realize I was a bit dehydrated so it put a little damper on the session cause I began to run out of gas quick and started to cramp up bad, but I still put in some good work before just calling it quits for the day

This totally wasn't the plan today, just want to go in get a quick training session in before we go watch my daughter cheer at her 1st college game....anyway, didn't eat breakfast just had a big cup of coffee, and headed to the gym....everything was feeling great so I decided to pile on the weight.... I actually missed the 1st attempt at this weight....it stalled bad right below my knee cap, 8 min l8r, the pr I have been waiting on since my injury, I believe it is a 20lbs pr... either way I felt great afterwards, on the way home "more human than human" by Rob zombie was playing in the old truck and all I could think was you got that shit right.... sorry I'm pumped up a little bit right now

Congrats brother. Glad to see you still working it and making gains. Im at 465 PR in DL so Ive add some weight and still pushing towards 500. 585 is some damn weight on the bar. I put 525 on the bar just for shrugs the other day and I though holy fuck how will I ever DL 500!!! LOL I can't even imagine you and all the PL guys out there hitting anywhere from 500 -900+ lbs. Good stuff.

You guy are animals lol. I wish I would be able but structurally my body wont support that weight. I have a medium frame & am 5'9" so I'm not puny but not big either. What scares me is I've had a few herniated disk from lifting to heavy. Knees aren't to bad but I can tell the right could go if I'm not careful.

Thanks brudda....hell you'll get 500 real soon you're only 35 lbs away right now.... I wish I would have eaten breakfast that day....I'm sure I could have finally pulled 600...which was one of my 1st long term goals when I began powerlifting...now long term I want to be in the 7's before my body says it's had enough

Great thread, glad to finally have caught it and catch up.  I ascribe to the less is more philosophy as well actually.  Having tried mega dosing and a billion workouts a week to fairly low dosing 3 day a week routines and the latter is what suites me best.

Looking forward to seeing how far you can bring it all mate.

had a great training session today, a little rush cause I'm sitting 1st out on the board and don't know when I'm going to work today, lol
Floor press with fat bar worked up to 295 for 3x3
Viking log press 110 for 3x8 , 160 for 3x3...Not sure if that is the real name i bring them to a full lap starting point in between each rep
Dumbell side lat raises 4 sets of 12
Tricept cable pushdowns with v handle 4 sets of 15

Okay just going to throw this out here.... And it just might be an over zealous goal but, since my buddy and I or going to do a meet next year (tbd) only stipulation is needs to be done before thanksgiving. so here is the goal or want I want to get for the meet : squat 700, Bench over 400, Deadlift 700 Like I said, might be over zealous but it's good to have goals, Right?

yeah figured I better shoot for the moon this time, even if I don't make it, sure going to be a fun run to the end. Hell at 43 I still feel strong so why not go for it
